The $100,000 Hit
At the time of its release, collectors couldn’t justify the $100 ask price for the Pan-Pac Octagonal $50 Gold Piece. As a result, most of the already tiny mintage of 1,500 coins was melted down, with only 645 sold to collectors before the rest were destroyed.
Low mintage. A massive weight of over 2.5 troy ounces. Historical connections to ancient Greece, the California Gold Rush, and the currently-raging World War I. Collectors praise this coin for many reasons – and now we are proud to offer it as the first six-figure VaultBox hit.
CAC Stickers
For the first time, VaultBox is offering slabs with CAC Green and Gold stickers.
CAC is an independent grading service that awards their green CAC stickers (or “beans”) to coins that meet their high standard of quality. A green CAC sticker certifies that your coin is a premium specimen.
Even rarer is the gold CAC sticker. These are only awarded to coins that exceed CAC’s already high grading standards. Gold beans are reserved for truly exceptional coins and are the highest honor awarded by CAC.
