The Big Chase: 1859 $1 Seated Liberty NGC PF66
While only 800 of these proof dollars were struck, the actual number of coins sold at the mint is likely closer to only 400 or 500 pieces.
Luckily, the original owner of this piece kept it in exceptional condition, preserving it well enough to earn this coin a stunning Proof 66 grade.
Let that sink in – this coin has been preserved in Gem Proof condition since before the Civil War. And now, it’s in one box of Select.
